🧠 Psychological Protection: What Children’s Minds Need
Child psychology is clear: children need stability, safety, and age-appropriate information. Their brains are not fully developed until their mid-20s — the prefrontal cortex, which governs decision-making, impulse control, and understanding of long-term consequences, is the last part of the brain to mature.
This means children are uniquely vulnerable to:
- Premature exposure to sexual content, including in educational settings
- Social pressure and peer influence regarding identity
- Adult ideological agendas being pushed before children have the capacity to critically evaluate them
- Digital grooming via social media, gaming platforms, and direct messaging
- Medical interventions — including puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones — that cause permanent changes before the child can fully consent
The Childhood Trauma Crisis
The CDC’s ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) research shows that trauma experienced in childhood has lifelong consequences on physical and mental health. Children who are exposed to sexual content, abuse, family instability, or ideological confusion in early years show dramatically higher rates of depression, anxiety, addiction, and chronic illness as adults. Protecting childhood is not overprotective — it is the single greatest investment in a person’s future health.
💔 The Emotional Reality: What Childhood Is Supposed to Be
Childhood is supposed to be a time of wonder, play, learning, and discovery — at age-appropriate paces. A 6-year-old’s emotional world should be filled with curiosity about nature, friendship, family, and imagination. Not with gender ideology. Not with sexually explicit books. Not with adult political battles being fought on their little bodies and minds.
Every time we expose a child to content that their developing mind cannot process, we steal something from them. We shorten the runway of innocence that every human being deserves. And the statistics show that the mental health outcomes for children who were NOT protected from premature exposure are dramatically worse than those who were.
💪 The Physical Threat: Medical Experimentation on Minors
The England-based Cass Review (2024) — the most comprehensive review of gender medicine for minors ever conducted — concluded that the evidence for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in children is of “remarkably poor quality.” Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and the UK have all moved to significantly restrict or ban these interventions for minors based on the same evidence.
Yet in the United States, these interventions are still performed on thousands of children each year — often without long-term follow-up, often after extremely brief evaluations, and sometimes against the wishes of one or both parents. This is not compassion. This is experimentation. Children are not lab subjects.
Protecting children from irreversible medical harm before they can give informed adult consent is not cruelty — it is love.

In virtually every spiritual tradition, children are considered the most sacred gift — entrusted to parents and community for protection, formation, and love. Jesus said it plainly: “It would be better for a person to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” (Luke 17:2). That is not gentle language. That is the language of someone who understands what is at stake.
We do not need permission from any ideology, institution, or government agency to protect our children. That right and that responsibility were given to us by God — and we will exercise it.
